Description
Dr. Haijian Chen is one of William and Mary's postdoctoral researchers at the ARC. Haijian received a BS in Applied Physics and MS in Biophysics at NanKai University in Tianjin, China. In 2005, Haijian received his Ph.D in Physics from The College of William and Mary. At the ARC Haijian works with the Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (TOF-SIMS) to study biological samples. He works closely with researchers at the Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and within the Biology Department at William and Mary. He studies a wide variety of samples ranging from human tissues and cells, both cancerous and healthy, to fruit flies. Haijian's other work involves analyzing spectrum and imaging using probability theory.
