Description
A laboratory and research technician performs a variety of duties under the guidance of a Laboratory and Research Manager.
These duties include laboratory equipment setup, maintenance, and operation; equipment inventory, sample preparation, and data acquisition using multiple characterization techniques, training, and supervision of personnel using laboratory equipment, and other duties as required to operate a safe a productive laboratory.
Bio
Richard Proper has been a Laboratory Research Technician for the College of William and Mary since 1996. Richard previously worked in Missile Electronics for the US Navy for 11 years and in industrial engineering at the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station for 20 years. Richard assists with research assignments within the ARC and repairs used research equipment on the College of William and Mary campus and at the ARC.
