Description
Binping Xiao received his B.S. and Master of Engineering from the School of Physics, Peking University, China. Currently, he is working towards his PhD in Applied Science from the Department of Applied Science at the College of William and Mary. His research experience includes small sample radio frequency property characterization, thin film characterization by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), CuInSe2 thin film solar cells, NbN thin films as buffer layer for Nb-sputtered copper cavities, surface treatment of superconducting RF Nb cavities, and research and calculation on the multipacting effect of superconducting RF cavities. Binping's area of expertise is in thin film characterization for superconducting RF cavities used in electron accelerator and small sample radiofrequency property characterization.
