Update to run program		Monday, 9 December 1996		09:00

There has been no beam since Saturday afternoon, because of sequence of 
accelerator problems.  Currently there is a defective arc magnet in the
4th pass, and the magnet is being removed.  It is planned to restore
operation Monday night with 3-pass beam (2.4 GeV) to Hall C and 1-pass
beam (845 MeV) to Hall B -- the 2nd-pass separator is not operational.
We will do the best we can with this.

The installation of scattering chamber and mini-torus is taking place
as planned, as per the December 6 update. 

Day and evening run shifts for Monday December 9 are cancelled.
The shift schedule will resume at 00:00 December 10.
