Minutes of Regular Hall C Meeting
November 6 2000@ 3:00 p.m.
************************************************************************
- Engineering (Bill Vulcan)
- AC for clean power for G0 is in. Panel is in
- Cage came in (G0) Friday. Bennett will arrange for Neil Wilson to put up cage if Plant Services is backlogged.
- Engineering (Paul Brindza)
- Still working on Gen/Day
- PMT holders are complete
- G0 design for cryolines for target test is finalized
- Outside design work on SOS stairs look good
- Tech’s get another section of G0 transfer line and gas line done
- G0 vacuum system, needs to be worked on
- Working list for other Gen technical support
- Modification of 2 Gen target superharps
- Installation of the 2 M20 target BPM’s and related electronics
- Resume chicane optics
- New Gen raster system (750 Hz, 30 Hz)
- Energy Measurement (Dave Mack)
- New field integral lacks a small correction for curvature and an even smaller correction for body gradients
- Showed what we would expect, assuming the old Hall C field integrals are wrong and the new ones are right.
- Beam related issues:
- The fast raster has been set to the wrong beam energy. (1-pass instead of 2-pass). This was fixed
- MCC had difficulty getting both the 3H00A and 3H00C bpms to the values we specified
- Target: The LD2 and LH2 fans stopped working and the loop 2 fan did not come back on. Both are working now at about 45 Hz
- Dipole magnet: The helium dropped. The dipole could not be turned up after the helium was recovered. The quench detectors kept tripping. Finally resolved.
