Minutes of Regular Hall C Meeting
November 1, 1999 @ 3:00 p.m.
- Engineering (Paul Brindza)
- Fixed angles for spectrometers on SOS
- HMS is constrained to 15, SOS 13.3 is constrained
- Entrance window to HMS failed due to radiation damage
- Magnet – assembly of cold mass has begun
- Detectors – French having problems with manpower and vendor
- Looks like the clean room will turn into a semi-clean room, will need to move detectors into the room
- Octant support bid was awarded to a group last week
- Detector assembly will begin in mid February
- Collaboration meeting will take place the week on January 10, 2000
- Report on upcoming experiment(Jeorg Reinhold)
- All three fans are in and working
- 2 days for pumping on target, start cooling down on Wed.
- Will need 3.8 GeV to start running again
- Software is completed to HNSS
- Having some tube problems, will be fixed in 1 week
- Discussed Anticipated Errors of the Beam Energy Accuracy
- Meeting this Thursday with Accel. to find out where to install magnet
- Measurements will be made the week of Dec. 14
- Went over the Accel. schedule for the next 6 months
- 1 target change, finish up the hydrogen run (from Jeorg Reinhold)
- Looking at start time for Madey’s experiment
- Opening a position for a Staff Scientist I or II
