- Engineering (Bill Vulcan)
- 50% of relocating the Fastbus into SOS magnet hut done
- Will leave cables same size for this change, just wrap them around
- No problems moving cables for SOS Fastbus, will take (2) maintenance days
- A VESDA alarm did not trip the clean power, possibly related to relocating a VESDA box in the HMS hut in June
- Larry suggest to use an administrative control up to the next maintenance:
- If VESDA alarms, scan the Hall with the cameras
- If there is a fire, everyone should press all red buttons
- Engineering (Paul Brindza)
- Installation plans for Gen have been drawn up
- Design work for Gen is being worked on
- G0 transfer line bid package out. No quotes yet.
- Requisition for off-shore purchase requisition for revised Moller magnet got put to DOE one week ago
- Modification of the Moller transfer line is being done, likely modification itself will happen October-January.
- Paul warns that this implies no Moller running for this period
- Recent CC Meeting (Steve Wood)
- Computer Center will be holding a monthly meeting for all coordinators
- Anyone with computer problems should contact Steve
- IBM machines will still be around, but emphasis will be on Suns and PC's/Linux
- Suns are needed for handling user accounts
- Linux machines are good for farm usage
- Report from R (Chris Armstrong)
- The experiment has been running for 8.5 days
- We have only had 2.5 days of beam
- Target operators must use 60 Hertz as opposed to 48 Hertz
- Showed updated shift schedule, 5 additional days for E94-110/E94-139
- This coming Friday, polarized injector will have work done on it
- HNSS update (Liguang Tang)
- There will be a HNSS Readiness Review Meeting on Thursday July 29, 1999
- Will have a Readiness Review on Aug. 13
- Magnetic shields of 2"PMT's are better than for 5"PMT's. Will be modified
- Schedule changes will be posted up on the web
- Beni will talk to the Target Group about short exposure of loop 3 to 60 m A. There is no indication of a leak
- Target GUI's start being outdated, we need to start changing/debugging them. No person responsible for this.
