The contract closeout meeting for the IR Demo Commissioning and Upgrade Project was held on April 26, 1999.  The final cost/schedule performance report on the project including work on the Upgrade Cryomodule (WBS 3.2.1) is attached. The project has closed with a favorable cost variance of $5k.  With all the scheduled work completed, no schedule variance exists.

Performance charts are included for the overall project and the cryomodule (SRF) effort.  The charts cover the entire period of the project (Jul 97-Aug. 99).

Also, enclosed are copies of two papers presented by the FEL Project team at the International FEL Conference held on August 22-27 in Hamburg, Germany.  These papers highlight:  (1)  the kilowatt performance of the FEL in the energy recovery mode; and (2)  the unique operation of the device at its fifth harmonic.

All reporting requirements for the Upgrade Project have now been fulfilled.
