Applied Research Center
The Applied Research Center is the flagship research facility for the Applied Research Center Consortium. The ARC, a seven-story office and laboratory building, is home to industrial, university and Jefferson Lab researchers collaborating in the development of new technologies and processes. The cornerstone of this collaboration is the Jefferson Lab Free-Electron Laser Program.
The ARC was constructed by the City of Newport News in a 200-acre research park. Located at 12050 Jefferson Avenue in Newport News, it is adjacent to Jefferson Lab.
