Dear Drifters;
Dan Carman, Amrit Yegneswaran, Peter Bonneau and I had a meeting in which
we discussed remaining hardware work to be done before the June run.
I am enclosing my own draft version (in LaTex) of a work plan.
Basically, we have to plug in a bunch of cables, test connectivity of
the entire HV distribution system, turn the HV on and re-condition the
chambers, quickly identify and disable "super-hot" wires, get the DAQ
system up, establish a cosmic trigger and take some cosmic data to do
a preliminary catalog of problems and fill a "dead-wire" list.
We need help - we will have work to do of various kinds between now
and May 15. Please contact me or Dan Carman with your travel plans
and with specific inquiries as to exactly what you can do, etc.
I will be out of town until Mon., April 28 (i.e. next week) so
Dan will coordinate the work of outside collaborators for the next
week. The schedule is tight, but we have come up with a pretty efficient
scheme to do the work and we can get it all done.
Also, this is a DRAFT plan; alert me to anything missing or wrong.
