\subsection{Goals: }

The goals of the work during April and May are the following:

\item Find `Super-Hot' Wires
\item Establish Nominal Voltage and Discriminator Threshold Values

\subsection{Procedures: }

The procedures to meet the goals are outlined here:

\item Finish Installation

\item ADB/TDC Crates: install remaining ADB, TCI and TDC boards and
MUX-TDC cables
\item Finish routing the trigger supervisor to FASTBUS crates
\item Install Region 1 signal cables
\item Install High Voltage distribution system
\item Install High Voltage crates and supplies
\item Establish gas flow to chambers
\item Finalize low voltage supplies to chambers

\item Find Broken Wires and Shorts

\item Use DVM to search for shorts between sense, field, guard, ground
\item Disconnect the smallest group of HV cables to disable short
\item Add disconnected wires to dead wire list

\item Use DVM to find open HV connections
\item Re-connect any open circuits
\end{itemize}
\item Re-condition Chambers

\item Bring chambers slowly up to nominal voltages

\item Find `Super-Hot' Wires

\item Search for regions drawing excess current
\item Within high current regions, look at signals on 'scope
\item Fix problem, or disable smallest HV grouping
\item Enter problem wires in dead wire list

\item Establish Nominal Voltage and Discriminator Threshold Values

\item Using CED and tracking code, determine HV setting for high efficiency
\item Raise threshold to eliminate electronic noise
\end{itemize}
\item Use Cosmics to Begin Search for Dead Wires

\item Establish cosmic ray trigger
\item Establish multi-crate DAQ
\item Take long cosmic ray runs

\subsection{Prerequisites: }

\item Tested ADB, TCI boards
\item MUX-TDC cables
\item Tested CAEN crates, supplies
\item HV connectivity test boxes
\item Mobile Bertan HV supply crate and interface boxes
\item Cosmic trigger counter installed near target
\item Cosmic trigger circuitry located on L1-N near pulsers
\item Operational DAQ with relevant FB crate in system

\subsection{Scheduling Constraints: }

\begin{enumerate}
\item Installation will be finished sector at a time
\item Finding broken wires and shorts requires only the HV jumper box
\item Finding HV disconnects starts after the HV distribution system
is installed (for one sector)
\item Reconditioning the chambers proceeds after steps 2 and 3 using
the mobile Bertan crate and supplies and a new intermediate HV box
\item During reconditioning a search is made for very hot wires, which
are fixed or disconnected
\item Nominal thresholds are set to eliminate electronic noise pickup
as determined by looking at signals on 'scope
\item Nominal voltages are set to give same gas gain as last run
\item When HV, lv, gas, trigger and DAQ are ready, take long cosmic run
