I agree with everything you said ;)

The true checklists will consist of the bulleted items in DCMonitoring.
I too am a firm believer in writing down quantities on checklists. Too
often it happens that someone looks at some diagnostic that is totally
screwed up, and checks it off the list. If they have to write something
down they're more likely to think about it.

Eventually only newbies will have to consult DCMonitoring. Everyone else
will just go through the checklist without insturctions.

As far as a checklist for CLAS goes, I think we're working in that
direction. Dave T and I had a power session a couple of days ago where we
made a first pass at the Checklist (with a capital C). There are
documents like DCMonitoring that are coming out of all system groups
(beamline, DAQ, detectors) and I hope from these the Checklist can be
extracted.
