The commissioning of he DC high voltage program is under way.
He is still running ;-)
We have now a lots of suggestions and comments on the program.
I will appreciate greatly your farther critics.
I would like to remind you that the control system is highly tighten to
the CODA. Mainly the connection of the high level software ( GUI )
with the driver running in vxworks is based on CODA_ROC rpc server.
The communication with the server is performed through mSQL name
server, the same server used for DAQ.
So any instability in CODA DAQ will have direct influence on DCHV.
Probably you know how often is needed to reset run-control server ,
cmlog server or mSQL server.
This all will bring the CROC25 to a funny stage, unfortunately in some
cases hanging the CROC25.
Unfortunately at the moment there is no the CODA components status
software detectors and the DCHV output can be interpret as a real
hardware problems.
DCHV is in a worst situation, since he is using the only readout
controller without remote reset.
Now I am preparing the complete documentation on DCHV,
with suggestions how to make it more independent from the CODA.
Please send your comments, which will help us to organize our future
plans.
