I have two items for your consideration:
1) I'd like to have a review of the gas system covering choice of gas, alcohol
additives, safety and operational issues, etc. I'd like it to take place
in the last week of October or 1st week of November to give us enough time to
fix problems. I need a few VOLTUNTEERS to serve on this review team.
2) I think that I have found the cause of the Region 1 inefficiencies, the
so-called 'speckling' of inefficient hits in a CED accumulated histogram.
The de-mux'ing code which resided in the ROC's has a cut on the valid
pulse widths (350 or 450 ns) of +- 20 ns. It should be about +- 40 ns.
Dan and I found a consistency between inefficient channels and those with
a pulse width outside of the +- 20 ns window.
