Hi,

I can be the responsible person for GSIM.

As to how much disk space, I initially requested 20 Gbytes. We can
probably
live with 15 Gbytes. I envision having (at least) a GSIM file on disk for
each
run condition, i.e. 1.6/40% 1.6/60% 2.4/40% 2.4/60% 4.0/40% 4.0/60% is
already appropriate. If they are 2 Gbyte files, we already are filling 12
Gbytes.
Since we have to 'filter' some files (e.g. GSIM -> GSIMKO -> TSIM, all
making intermediate files) we will temporarily have multiple copies of some

of these; of course we can use scratch space for this. We can also use the
tape silo, but I think having these fundamental files available on disk
will
be essential. We also need space for event generator files and
documentation,
but these will not be large.
