A) The DEVELOPMENT libraries are in the process of being rebuilt on
SUNOS HP-UX and AIX.
B) The trk code on SunOS has an optimization bug, so libtrk.a on SunOS
is now compiled with bounds checking on (-C). This forces the
optimizer to be less efficient, and the code works.
C) There have been several changes to the Make system. Two new targets
have been added: clean and help
make clean will remove all *.d and lib*.a and binaries
make help will dump out the settings of Make variables
The make system has changed sufficiently that users should update
their Makefiles.
As far as I know CVS is up to date, and it appears that people are
working with the new tools and within the new system.
Cheers,
Arne
