The main topic of the meeting was to discuss the status
of preparations for tagger commissioning. We're scheduled
to start next Saturday, 3/28.
We'll meet again at 1:30 pm Monday 3/23 to go over the commissioning
schedule.
Tagger: Luc reported that the T and E counters are working.
The E-counter fastbus crate is fixed.
Prescaling: Mike D. reported that cables are being fabricated
for prescaling. The NIM signals are getting out. Should be
ready Monday.
Rad Phi connections: A Rad Phi representative reported that
tagger signals are getting to Rad Phi.
Asyn. trigger: Steve reported that the asynchronous trigger
is now working. The problem was that the trigger file wasn't
being downloaded. The TOF signal is arriving around 50 ns
early at the trigger.
Trigger GUI: Thierry is finishing it.
Scalers: EPICS scalers are working.
Getting Start counter scalers into the data stream: Talking to
Elliott about this; need to plug in some cables.
Start counter: Simon has looked at signals with cosmics.
Beamline: Arne reported that the helium bags will be installed
Tuesday.
G5 compatability: Will mount helium bag just downstream of the
fission chamber.
Target: Laurent reported that the target is tested and working fine.
Should be installed in CLAS tomorrow. The tagger magnet is interlocked
to the accelerator so that it will be impossible to put an electron
beam through the target. We need to tell the accelerator group that
the tagger should never be taken off interlock.
TASC: Arne reported that the new table has been installed, and will
be surveyed on Wed. Carlos and Muhbub reported that the detector is
working and ready for installation. The slow controls are working.
Pair counter: Eric reported that the signals are OK. He had to
replace PMT's and the optical coupling is not as good as previously.
Pair spectrometer: Mike K. reported that all detectors are working.
He's looked at it with DAQ. We can look at the beam profile with
a moving wire.
Software: There's going to be a special software meeting around
3:00 pm Monday with Dieter. Luc is organizing this meeting. Our
Italian collaborators reported that the DSD software works fine.
Beam line shielding: Status
1. Shield walls after collimators are partially stacked.
2. Shielding stacked around beam pipe going into dump.
3. Shielding just upstream of target installed.
Next meeting: 1:30 PM Monday.
