minutes of 5/26/98 photon analysis meeting
Burin Asavapibhop (burin@jlab.org)
Fri, 29 May 1998 13:58:22 -0400 (EDT)
In attendance: Eric Anciant, Burin Asavapibhop, Thierry Auger, Steve Barrow,
Mike Dugger, Rob Feuerbach, Vardan Gyurjyan, Mike Klusman,
Claude Marchand, Gordon Mutchler, Jim Napolitano, Sasha Philips,
Barry Ritchie, Elton Smith, Simon Taylor, Sylvain ???, ???
Gordon made a suggestion about listing all G1 data with comments such as good
run or bad run, any problem during the run, bad TDC, etc. because the
information in may98_progress.txt file is not so accurate. Rob also suggested to
put this "revised may98_progress.txt" file under CVS so if someone has further
information, he/she will be able to add it and we always have backup versions.
Gordon and Rob will work on this.
Simon presented some plots of pion and proton masses VS TOF paddle id with the
new TOF calibrations for G1. This cured the pion-proton mass spectrum shift in
backward region of TOF sector 3 and better lined up the spectra for every
sector. He already put these new calibrations into the Map database.
Claude presented the results of particle id using the event start time given by
the tagger. He is preparing the CLAS note on this subject which will be
available soon.
Thierry commented about the width of discrimators for odd T counters and even T
counter are not the same due to different discrimator modules. This could affect
our normalisation. He will do some test on this.
Next meeting: Tuesday 2 June 10 am in L207
