The ultimate time resolution will be determined in software, and here the precise pmt
which defines the Master Or time is unimportant. Thus it is only a question whether the hardware
time coincidence is best served by this modification. As Dan correctly points out, the range of
coincidence times for matched left and right signals is half the range when a single pmt defines
the time. (This is also true when the two pmt signals are Ored, but the range occurs earlier.) The
range increases to the full range for a single pmt, when one signal always comes before the other.
Therefore, the hardware Master Or time "jitter" is minimal in its present configuration. However,
in any case this range is still small compared to variations from counter to counter.
I suggest we leave the signal cables as they are.
