EPICS system at TJNAF--Johnny Tang
The accelerator EPICS architecture was presented. Source is controlled
with CVS. This structure is in the process of being developed for the
halls. There will be (a) one shared version of EPICS software for all
of the Halls (b) a hall-specific version for each Hall, and (c)
project specific versions of the entire EPICS tree for individual
applications. Projects will be structured with protections to insure
that software development proceeds independently for each Hall. For
each Hall, two machines are suggested: one for development, one for
operations. The essential executables will reside on the operations
machine, connected to a local network, independent of the lab-wide
ethernet.

DC gas--Mike Vineyard
GUI's for the gas system were presented. See the transparencies for
details. All device support is ready. Still left to work on are the
archiver and the alarm handler.

High Voltage--Kathy McCormick, Sebastien Fabbro
Hardware testing is mostly complete, except for 1469 cards (used for
the DC's). High level development done for Hall A (main GUI, alarms,
back-up and restore). A new database builder has been written, which
is much faster that the previous system. All code has been debugged.

High Voltage--Mark Ito
Sasha Phillips is building the main GUI for Hall B, based on C-driven
medm, and Hall A GUI. Fortran operator interface exists as a back-up
system.

Beamline--Sebastien Fabbro
Controls for the primary collimator with OMS stepper-motor are done
(device/driver, GUIs) work well. The things to do before November
include: other stepper-motors controls (secondary collimator, solid
target, pair spectrometer converter), tagger magnet and mini-torus
power supplies, and scalers.

Calorimeter Laser calibration--Kevin Giovanetti
An overview of the calibration system set-up was presented. There is
still a need for control software to set-up and initiate the laser
calibration. The system is based on a set of stepper-motors with
RS-232 interfaces. CODA will be used to control this system.

DC Laser Calibration--Rory Miskimen
An sketch of the system was presented. The goal is to measure the
maximum drift time in test chamber drift cells that model those in the
detector. Controls with labview have been implemented. Multitasking is
on the way with Windows 95.

Alarms--Phil Rubin, Jessica Crawford.
Description of main alarm handler screens. A request to the group was
made for one "Alarm Handler Information Requirements Document" for
each EPICS slow controls application.
__________________________________________________________
Cryogenic target--Thierry Auger
A description of the Saclay cryogenic target system was given. There
are two systems: cooling fluid and target. Control for pressure,
temperature, valves, fuels pumps are implemented with communication
going over a FIP network. An EPICS read-back interface is being built,
with asynchronous processing directly in the EPICS database.

Large Angle Calorimeter--Vartan Giourdjian
A description of the LAC controls system was presented. The LAC has
an independent control system, monitored via WWW and controlled with a
Tcl/Tk GUI. The online database is implemented in mSQL.
