Dear EG1 collaborators,

it turns out that not only would the M=F8ller people appreciate some help=

for the second part of this month, we also are scheduled for target
material irradiation (both for Gen in Hall C and for EG1) for the end
of March. Please contact Stephen Bueltmann directly if you are interested=

in helping (manning shifts). We need to increase the number of people
with target expertise in our collaboration, and this is a good opportunit=
y.
See the enclosed forwarded message for more details.
Also, I would like to ask you to read very carefully the announcement fro=
m
Don Crabb regarding the NMR workshop (it can be found in the archives of =
this
mailing list, which is keyed off our web page). Although the workshop is
mostly for experts, there will be a related NMR clinic at Jefferson Lab
on Monday, April 20th. We should try to have as many of us attend as poss=
ible.
Note that Don requests that you should send in a reply if you plan to att=
end
(an appropriate form is enclosed in his message).
Finally, while I'm at it: For those of you who cannot attend the regular
target meetings (every Thursday 10:30 in Room L207), I just want to annou=
nce
that as of yesterday, we are on track for a full acceptance test at Oxfor=
d
Instruments beginning March 23. Don will leave for Britain next week
(as well as Marco). Meanwhile, Bernhard will update our beam request
next week (you probably saw his message requesting input from the CLAS co=
llabo-
ration) and he will also try to set up our Readiness Review (FINALLY!) fo=
r
the week of April 9. We will probably need to have talks by Don (target),=

Dave Kashy (installation/development at JLab), Volker (beam line),
Laird or Brian (Moeller) and myself. Please send in your dates of availab=
ility
if you appear on this list.
I am presently considering our next EG1 full collaboration meeting. One
obvious choice would be to hold it in conjuction with the NMR workshop
(maybe on the weekend before April 20th? or on Tuesday?), or with the
readiness review (that way, we can avoid duplication). Let me know your
preferences.

Greetings -

Hello Sebastian,

The irradiations of ammonia for the polarized target
will take place from 3/21 (owl) to 3/26 (owl).
So far, there will be a scheduled FEL operator on shift
together with a member from one of the experiments or the
CEBAF target group. So, we need to cover 16 shifts.

Right now, I am planing on having this one shift plus one
experienced person near by on call for material changes or
problem solving.

There will be a meeting tomorrow morning with people from
the FEL.

Anybody, who is interested in contributing a shift can
send E-mail containing the preferred date and time to

bueltman@cebaf.gov

Cheers,
Stephen
