GSIM crashes

Hello!
I have found the infamous "gnpgon" in the executable gsim_bat
itself. But, have no idea where else it may be found.
My suspicion is that there is some part of the detector as yet
undefined or at present incorrectly defined as to following
electrons.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone where/how their
crashes of GSIM have occured?
A quick thing to try might be to change the random number
seeds for GEANT in the ffread file, i.e., eg.
RNDM 9874 54323
this has allowed at least one file I had crashing at ~150 events
to get too ~1500 events. However, I'm having problems with my
program to get the output into ntuples. I would appreciate it
if anyone else might try this quick fix (which it isn't really) to see
if it changes where their files have been crashing, at least at the
event level.
Thanks,
Alan
