Hi Will,
I'd like to tell you a couple of things about the work in Genova
about GSIM. Unfortunately I was too busy with things going on here
so I could'nt attend the last CLAS meeting. Vladimir has installed
the GSIM package on our HP here. Then he has modified our single
pion event generator (the code that was used to perform the simulations
presented at TJNAF and reported in the CLAS note about pi0 calibration),
to include data management and disk storage using the BOS package.
The output in BOS format is accepted and processed by GSIM and it is
displayed using CED. The Large Angle Calorimeter is not visualizable
since it is included in GSIM but not in the CED graphics. We have also
to check some data misalignment of the LAC output seen in the CED numerical
file display. Now we decided to have Vladimir building HBOOK histograms
using the data from BOS bank to make sure that they are handled properly.
We keep in contact with Harut about the RECSIS progress especially on the
LAC side. I should be at TJNAF in the week between September 2nd and 8th.
I hope to be able to show some of this stuff.
