Postdoctoral Position in Experimental Nuclear/High Energy Physics
Nuclear/High Energy Physics Center of Excellence at Hampton University

The Nuclear/High Energy Physics (NuHEP) Research Center of Excellence at
Hampton University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position
in the field of experimental intermediate energy nuclear or particle physics.
This position will become available on or about July 1, 1998. The work of
the experimental component of the NuHEP Center, four faculty and two
adjunct-faculty members, is centered in Hall C at the nearby Thomas Jefferson
National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab). The experimental program
concentrates on the areas of hypernuclear studies and hadronic structure.
The successful candidate will participate in the experimental program of the
Center. The appointment is initially for a term of two years with the
possibility of reappointment to a third year (depending on performance and
availability of funds). Women and minority candidates are strongly urged to
