EXPERIMENTAL NUCLEAR PHYSICS
THE GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY

The Department of Physics of The George Washington University has an
opening for a Visiting Assistant Research Professor in experimental nuclear
physics, for one year (only), starting September 1, 1997. We seek a person
for this non-tenure-accruing faculty position who will be mainly concerned
with our experimental program in Hall B at Jefferson Lab. The primary skills
necessary for this position are expertise in data acquisition and data
analysis.
He or she will teach one course per semester or the equivalent. This position
is intended for a person having a few years of experience in experimental
nuclear physics beyond the Ph.D. degree. Prior experience in medium-energy
nuclear physics, electromagnetic interactions, and/or few-body nuclei is
essential.
