POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE
EXPERIMENTAL NUCLEAR PHYSICS
OLD DOMINION UNIVERSITY
Old Dominion University, in partnership with the Thomas
Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab),
has established a major new group in nuclear and particle
physics. The ODU experimental nuclear physics group has
built and is commissioning the Region 2 drift chambers for
the Jefferson Lab CLAS in addition to leading experiments
on the GDH sum rule, Virtual Compton Scattering, deuterium
response functions, and virtual photon absorption mechanisms
at Jefferson Lab. We are seeking a postdoctoral associate to
participate in these projects. He/She will also have the
opportunity to participate in our ongoing experiments at SLAC,
MIT/Bates and NIKHEF.
The position is for one year initially and can be renewed
dependent on mutual agreement and continuing funding. For
