Postdoctoral Research Associate
The Laboratory for Nuclear Science at MIT invites applications for a
postdoctoral research associate position with the Medium Energy Physics Group.
This position will involve work on a program of neutron electromagnetic
and spin structure studies with a high pressure spin-exchange optically
polarized He3 target, and photopion production with a bremsstrahlung photon
beam, at Jefferson Lab. The research program will also include a first test
of a laser-driven polarized H/D internal gas target at the Indiana University
Cyclotron Facility and the measurement of the nucleon spin asymmetry in the
momentum distribution of the deuteron with a polarized deuterium target.
A Ph.D. in experimental nuclear or particle physics is required. Please send
