A collaboration led by Haiyan Gao has submitted a proposal to the
spin-physics working group, and seeks Hall A endorsement. Below
is an email from George Chang describing how you can participate
in the review process, and the more who participate, the better!
This notice is very late, since we'd like to close the review
process by June 2nd. However, apparently George did not know
how to send this to the list, and I was out of town so did not
see it until yesterday.
For future reference for all Collaboration members: if you need to
send mail to the whole Collaboration (as well as others who are
interested in Hall A Physics), address your mail to
halla@jlab.org

Hi Jeff,
Please forward the following e-mail message to Hall A
members. I have already asked four people to review Haiyan's proposal,
hopefully by this coming friday.
George
Dear Hall A Members,
There is a proposal submitted to the "Spin response in Nuclei"
working group which is requesting Hall A Collaboration Proposal
status. The proposal is titled
"Measurement of p(e(pol),e'p(pol))phi and the Strangeness
Content of the Proton"
and is being submitted by Haiyan Gao from MIT (and other collaborators).
Charlie Glashausser is the convenor of the "Spin Response in Nuclei"
Group, and so for obvious reasons has removed himself from acting as
arbiter in this process. I will be acting in this role for this
proposal.
Comments on this proposal are welcome from all Hall A
members. If you would like a postscript copy of the proposal, please
send a message to me at
chang@enp.umd.edu
and I will be happy to send one to you (electronically, of course).
Proposals are due by June 3, so I would like to have any comments by
the end of this week, if at all possible, or no later than next
Monday.
George
