You should already be aware of the upcoming June 15-18
Jlab workshop entitled, "Jlab Physics and Instrumentation with
8-GeV Beam and Beyond". The organizers have requested that each
of the halls make a presentation on the physics potential and
the instrumentation requirements in light of such an energy upgrade.
The Hall C staff feel there is a need to have a meeting
of interested Hall C collaboration members in May to improve the
focus of our June presentation. For example, we don't want to show
up in June with 5 shoddy proposals for instrumentation upgrades. A
preliminary agenda for the May meeting will be sent out soon, but
first we have to settle on dates for this meeting-before-the-meeting.
If interested, please let me know which of the following Thurs-Fri
dates you would prefer:
May 7-8
or
May 14-15
or
May 28-29.
We realize you're all very busy but please think about
attending. It is very important to us that you who have worked
so hard to build apparatus, write proposals, and carry out experiments
in Hall C should also define the future of its physics program.
