Dear photofission people:
The latest word is that at long last we have completed the last of the
commissioning runs (the TAC runs) and are running smoothly (since 2 am) on
photofission data runs. We have, as of this morning, about 32 hours of
data needed and about 72 hours in which to collect them. If the
accelerator runs smoothly, we should be able to bring the experiment to a
successful conclusion. Here's hoping...wish us luck!
We still need volunteers for Fri and Sat 0800-1200 and Sun 0000-0800. If
you are available, please let me know ASAP. Thanks again.
