Dear Photofission Folks:
At last we have beam again, at 1.7 GeV, and we are currently attempting to
take data. Probably we will succeed today, despite an annoying
trigger-logic problem for efficiency runs, and therefore, we do not need
to have a meeting today.
Stand by for the likelihood of a meeting tomorrow (Sunday) at 3:30 pm,
after we have some experience at this energy, together with some
anticipated difficulties with the polarized source, Hall A, etc. The Hall
A folks are aware of our situation, and will do their best to keep things
running smoothly, but they do have to make changes in beam current, etc.,
to get on with their experiment, and some disruption is inevitable.
Let's hope for the best!
Best regards,
Barry
