MCC conference room
Jefferson Lab Physics in 1997 - Dr. Larry Cardman
Dr. Cardman will summarize the nuclear physics done using beam supplied
in FY 97 by the big machine and give an indication of its import to and
impact on the field. As time and data availability permit, he'll
address what's happened so far in 1QFY98, too. He will end by listing
and justifying the hurdles in beam quality and conditions we'll have to
jump over in calendar 1998.
The talk is aimed at those who are _not_ trained as nuclear physicists,
but do have some physics background, e.g. know the difference between
elastic and inelastic scattering.
