Minutes of Sep. 5 E91-026 meeting as noted by Riad Suleiman

1. New Schedule:
a. The parity will run the last week of December instead of the
week before the last. The schedule is now final.

2. Raster/Beam Monitoring:
a. Bob:
1. Will have an event by event reading of the beam position
2. The raster VME crate is in the hall. Dave and Bob are
working on raster installation, expected to be completed
by next week
b. The ion chambers signals will be in data stream and displayed
online.
c. Absolute beam energy requirement:
0.10% for Resenbluth separation of A & B
0.25% for the remaining A(Q^2) points

3. Charge Monitoring
a. Wilson has been working on calibrating the VtoF
1. extremely stable (drift at 10^-5 level)
2. need to put this into scalers
b. Luminita wrote a program to calculate the integrated charge
at the end of each run.
4. DAQ
a. Had drawings of the trigger electronics. Jack is going to
clean up and do re-wiring of the trigger

5. Cryotarget
a. The target is surveyed in the scattering chamber. Still need
a final survey when all the pipes are connected on the top
of the cryocan.
b. Will have all the information about the cells documented
c. The exit window on target chamber will be 10 mil Al (safer and
keeps better vacuum)
d. The ESR will not be able to provide enough cooling for both
hall A and hall C cryotargets.

6. Spectrometers
a. John has the positions of hadron arm magnets
c. For E91-026, the maximum excitation of the electron spectrometer
will be around 3 [GeV/c] (stability and saturation concerns).
d. The collimator is ready (open, 5 msr, sieve slit)

7. Detectors
a. Hakob Voskanian gave a presentation about shower counters
1. The calibration coefficients are stable over a period of
months
2. The efficiency and PID of the Shower/Preshower and Cherenkov
detectors meet the requirement.
b. Armen Ketikyan added an option to ESPACE for shower calibration
c. Bogdan changed the bases of phototubes on the gas Cherenkov.
d. Some PMT's on the Hadron arm are changed.

8. Preparation
a. Noel Okay (MCC liaison for E91-026) gave an orientation to a
group of people working on E91-026 about the accelerator
operations
