Tenure Track Faculty Position
Experimental Nuclear Physics
The Physics Department at the University of Connecticut, in
partnership with the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator
Facility (Jefferson Lab), is establishing a research effort in
Nuclear Physics that includes work with a strong focus on low-
energy QCD. We are searching for an experimentalist who will
join our recently hired UConn/Jefferson Lab experimentalist and
theorist that are active in low-energy QCD.
The position is a full tenure-track position at the University of
Connecticut intended primarily for a junior faculty member at the
Assistant Professor level; however, exceptional candidates will be
considered for a higher level appointment. Applicants should have
a demonstrated ability to initiate and lead research, an
established record of publications in scientific journals, and
good teaching skills. The appointment may be made as early as
January 1, 1998.
