SENIOR SCIENTIST POSITION

The Physics Department of Hampton University has an opening for a
non-tenure track senior scientist position in the area of radiation physics
and biophysics for the duration of April 1 - September 30, 1996. (Possible
renewal for one additional year.)

Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. in nuclear theory and have a broad
background in multidisciplinary research related to radiation transport and
interactions, nuclear modeling of high energy heavy ion interactions, and
their coupling to biological models. The candiate should be familiar with
the fundamental principals of radiation protection and underlying radio
biological data. A proven record of research experience in
multidisciplinary projects is required. Excellent theoretical research
facilities are available with the possiblility of interacting with
physicists at the Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF).
