Postdoctoral Position
University of Virginia

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in experimental
nuclear/particle physics to begin in the Fall of 1996. The successful
candidate will be in residence in Newport News, VA, and will participate
primarily in the commissioning of the CLAS Detector at TJNAF, and in
subsequent experiments to study electro-production of excited states of
the nucleon, using both polarized and unpolarized targets and beams. In
addition, there may be opportunities to participate in experiments in
Hall C at TJNAF, as well as in an experiment under development at
the PSI Laboratory in Switzerland to make a precise measurement of
pion-beta decay. The position is for one year and is renewable.
