ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT EL PASO
The Department of Physics at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP)
invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in
experimental nuclear and particle physics to begin January, 1997. Under an
agreement between UTEP and the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator
Laboratory (formerly CEBAF) this position will involve a half-time teaching
assignment at UTEP for the first three years to allow the successful
candidate to establish a presence at Jefferson Lab and develop an externally
funded research program. Strong collaboration with the Jefferson Lab/New
Mexico State University group is also expected.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. in physics, post-doctoral experience, and a
strong interest in teaching and supervision of M.S. research. Applicants
