Theoretical Post Doctoral Fellow Positions
Hampton University

The Nuclear/High Energy Physics (NuHEP) Research Center of Hampton University
is seeking applications for one, or possibly two, theoretical Post Doctoral
Fellow positions. One position is presently available; this position is
jointly sponsored with the Thomas Jefferson Accelerator Facility (The Jefferson
Lab) Theory Group led by Nathan Isgur. The other position is expected to be
vacant by September 1997.

The theoretical group in the NuHEP Center is composed of Profs. W. W. Buck,
J. L. Goity, and K. M. Maung, who are also members of the Jefferson Lab
Theory Group. The group interests are varied, with an emphasis in strong
interactions in hadrons and nuclei, and wide interests in particle
phenomenology. Specific approaches employed are Chiral Perturbation Theory,
quark models, and other approaches to QCD, many body theory, etc. We are
seeking candidates who can contribute in any of the areas of interest to
our group. Candidates should also be able to discuss research directions
with experimentalists.

Applications will be accepted until the positions have been filled. A
candidate's statement, vitae, and three letters of recommendation should be
sent to:
