Assistant Professor in Theoretical Subatomic Physics
University of Regina
The University of Regina is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant
Professor position in Theoretical Subatomic Physics, to begin July 1, 1997,
subject to final approval. The successful applicant is expected to work
closely with the subatomic physics group (experiment and theory) in areas of
common research interest. The experimental group has expanded recently and
will continue to grow. Its main research thrust is in electromagnetic
interactions, probing quark effects in nuclear matter, and it enjoys strong
ties with the Jefferson Laboratory in the U.S.A. The successful applicant is
expected to expand these ties to the theory division at the laboratory. A
strong commitment to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and
graduate levels is required. The successful applicant will be expected to
secure external research funding, which will be supplemented with Faculty of
Science startup funds.
Applicants with a Ph.D. and at least two years of post-doctoral experience
