Hi, Claude:
It is simple to compile ACE-4.0 on solaris, but it may take some
effort to compile it on hp. I am using ACE-4.0 now on solaris
to implement message logging server and client daemon, but I am not
going to use it for the client and browser library since I do not want
applications to see so many new libraries :-). By the way, ACE grows so big,
and it becomes more difficult to extract part of it to use :-(. In the
older version of ACE, you can easily extract what you want to use from
the distribution.
