Scientific Computing Systems Upgrade Status

Auger (the batch farm manager) and Jasmine (the mass storage system)
were upgraded yesterday. The systems are available again for general
use. There were significant changes to the system. This note
outlines the most immediately visible changes.
* The URL for the web pages has changes. It is now
http://auger.jlab.org/scicomp/index.jsp
* Jasmine is currently under very heavy load while the contents of
some cache areas are reloaded from tape. Response time will
increase later in the week.
* Any Jasmine requests submitted on Monday that did not complete
should be resubmitted. The database of requests was reset during the
upgrade.
* Farm jobs submitted prior to the upgrade will complete and send email,
but they will not be trackable on the web pages.
