*** Reminder of Work This Thursday ***
On Thursday, January 6th 2005, portions of the scientific computing
environment will be unavailable during the day for server hardware
and software upgrades. On that day the farm will stop dispatching
jobs so the the server for Auger can be upgraded. Farm jobs scheduled
to run at this time may fail and need to be resubmitted. Jasmine will
be paused, and no files will be moved from tape during the maintenance
work. The status and monitoring web pages will be unavailable
intermittently, and new job submission to either jasmine or auger may
fail until the database work is completed.
We anticipate having all systems back up by the end of the day. Please
note that there will be continuing maintenance on other computing
systems that evening until 10pm.
