JASMine upgrades for the Scientific Computing environment are complete.
Mass storage, farm, and ifarm systems are back in service. Production
testing will continue for the rest of this week; interruptions are
possible if needed to correct any unresolved issues.
In summary, the JASMine upgrades include
-a centralized dispatcher and corresponding clients to improve throughput
-capability to compress/copy 60GB tapes for reuse at 200GB per tape
-file size support for up to 20GB files; 2GB is still the recommended
maximum size
-Panasas upgrade (much of CLAS /work areas) to support "atime", for
use by the CLAS auto-deletion algorithm
