The experimental physics offline scientific computing environment will
be down for maintenance beginning Friday, Nov 23 and continuing into
Saturday as needed. Changes are required to decommission the Panasas
/work file servers, requiring reconfigurations and reboots of the batch
farm, ifarm, and infrastructure machines, as well as any other systems
mounting /work. Jobs will stop being dispatched to the batch farm at 5pm
on Tuesday, Nov 20 to allow time for running jobs to complete and data
to be migrated to the new Thumper (Sun Fire X4500) fileservers.
