Sebastian,
I cannot remember for sure, but I seem to remember that there was an
issue with bit-truncation in the DST, so that the histogram would look
incorrect depending on how well the bits of the number plotted
correspond to the binning chosen. Do the wiggles look different if you
change the binning slightly?
