The fruits of our labors...

Dear EG1ers,

I want to point you to a brand-new arXive submission at
http://lanl.arxiv.org/abs/0804.0422
that I trust you will find interesting. This is an up-to-date NLO analysis of all DIS, SIDIS and RHIC pp data to extract parton helicity PDFs (by W. Vogelsang et al.)

While the authors have an (understandable) bias towards RHIC results, it is quite instructive to look at their Fig. 3 (right panel). If I interpret it correctly, it seems that DIS data give the BEST constraint on the positive side for Delta-G, and are equally strong as Phenix results in constraining Delta-G on the negative side (only STAR data seem to do a lot better there). Needless to say, our own data contribute to this non-trivially.

Greetings - Sebastian

P.S.: Of course we have our usual EG1 meeting this Wednesday 4/9, 11:00 a.m. in F224/225 CEBAF Center. Let me know if you want to be called...
