We are seeking to appoint a high calibre and dynamic Theoretical
Physicist. Candidates with research expertise that complements
and expands upon our research strengths in nuclear and particle
physics, many body theory and complex systems in general are
encouraged to apply. You will have a strong commitment to
excellence in research, teaching and student learning. In
addition, you will have an outstanding research track record and
be expected to develop an active research program. You will also
contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and the
supervision of students, and assist with the administrative
responsibilities of the Physics discipline.

This two-year fixed-term position, similar to Lecturer / Assistant
Professor in North America, is available from 01 January 2009.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high calibre and dynamic
Physicist to join the Discipline of Physics, within the School of
Chemistry & Physics. The School has experienced a significant
growth in its under-graduate teaching load and higher degree
research students. Research areas within Physics include
atmospheric physics, high-energy astrophysics, geophysics, medical
physics, optics, photonics and theoretical physics.
We are seeking a highly motivated person to assist in delivering
undergraduate teaching within the Discipline of Physics. You will
be involved in a range of teaching activities including lecturing,
tutoring, marking and working with other members of the Discipline
to develop and improve undergraduate courses. Some supervision of
Honours and Postgraduate students may also be required. You should
have a demonstrated excellent research track record and will be
expected to pursue an active research program.
The successful applicant will be appointed at a level appropriate
to qualifications and relevant experience.
