New Faculty search at CUA---a message from Daniel Sober



Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Experimental Nuclear/Hadronic Physics

The Department of Physics at the Catholic University of America (CUA) wishes to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Intermediate-Energy Experimental Nuclear or Hadronic Physics, starting in Fall 2009.  It is planned to fill the position at Assistant Professor level, but applicants at more senior level will also be considered.  The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. and at least one year of postdoctoral research experience in nuclear, hadronic or elementary particle physics, and should have or be able to develop a research program which interacts closely with the ongoing hadronic physics program of Profs. Franz Klein and Daniel Sober, which is based primarily at Jefferson Lab in Newport News, VA.  He or she should be prepared to teach a full range of courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and preferably have an interest in teaching advanced computational techniques.
