Abstract
It took about 50 years between the time the light bulb was invented until it got into the home.
Congress recognized that's too long for technology developed at National Labs to get into the private sector. So Congress has passed Laws that require National Labs to work with companies to get new knowledge from basic research to the public. I will discuss the various ways Jefferson Lab goes about accomplishing this task, from inventions, patents, licenses,"Work for Others," Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs)," etc.  You might think this is a dry subject matter...Yes, but, in fact, some of Jefferson Lab's inventions are now saving lives!!!
