9 January is the deadline for submitting abstracts for the 2009
APS spring meeting to be held 2-5 May in Denver, CO. The URL for
the meeting is
                http://www.aps.org/meetings/april/

Complete instructions for submitting abstracts can be found under
the "Submit Your Abstract" link in the right-hand column.

NOTE: APS members are entitled to present ONLY ONE oral abstract,
and the lead author is considered the presenter.

                 *  *  *  MINI-SYMPOSIA  *  *  *

Mini-symposia sorting categories for APR09 are:

 E14a. Mini-symposium on Nuclear Structure at Short Distances
 E14b. Mini-symposium on New Results in Heavy Ion Physics
 E14c. Mini-symposium on Transverse Spin Phenomena

These will replace the generic mini-symposia categories currently
shown on the APS web site. The sorting code (e.g., E14b) will
direct an abstract to the correct mini-symposium.
